VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT by Association of Youth Organizations Nepal (AYON)


Association of Youth Organizations Nepal (AYON) www.ayon.org, an umbrella of youth-led organizations, invites applications from qualified, committed & expunged individuals for the following position for My Rights, My Voice: Improving basic health services for the youth and children in rural Nepal programme for immediate placement The position is initially for 2 years with possibility of extension and wfl be based in Kathmandu with frequent travel to project districts.

1. Programme Coordinator -1 Key responsibilities

Development and implementation of programme plans

Manage relationship wih programme partner/s through regular visits and undertake project monitoring, evaAuafon. including financial monitoring; and ensure organisational programme management standards

Produce quality reports and other necessary documents mtfudmg case studies

Actively contribute to developing issue-based alliance and networking both at local and national levels for effective advocacy work

Plan, coordinate and manage project

Represent AYON in meetings and forums as designated by the executive committee

Assist the executive committee in proposal development and fundraising

Ensure adherence to AYON puliw»

Minimum requirements

At [east Bachelors Degree or equivalent in soda! sciences with a minimum of three years working experience in related field

Good command of English and Nepali (writing & speaking)

Strong analytic, conceptual and strategic thinking skills

Ability to foster good working relationship with civil society organisations, government stakeholders, political party representatives and other relevant stakeholders

« Team work skills and ability to build good and professional relations both internally and externally

Proven knowledge and expenence in advocacy and lobby work

Knowledge of gender and inclusion issues

Co-ordination, facilitation and media mobilization skills

Proficient in computer skills (MS office package)

Willingness to work also in odd hours and under pressure
