Career at The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA)


The Korea International Cooperation Agency(KOICA) was founded as a government agency on Apnl 1,1991, to maximize the effectiveness of Korea's grant aid programs for developing countries by implementing the government's grant aid and technical cooperation programs. KOICA has been providing developing assistance to Nepal since 1991 and education, health, energy and agriculture are priority sectors of KOKA in Nepal. KOICA is looking for experienced and qualified Nepali nationals to fill the following position. The staff will be based in Kathmandu with occasional visits to the related fields.

Duration Type of Contract five(5) months
Short term contract

Job Responsibility

Support the planning and designing of needs assessment including interview, survey and performance review

Collect TEVT(Technical Education and Vocational Training) related policy, programs, and documents from donor agencies and public institutes

Conduct research to collect data and engage with a range of stakeholders

Qualitative and statistical analysis of data generated by the different data acquisition

Contribute to a workshop and the preparation of report to be submitted

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree(preferably in master's degree) in education, statistics, development studies or relevant field

More than 2 years of experience in research related works in national and international organizations

Knowledge of various research methods

Knowledge and experience in 'Technical Education and Vocational Training(TEVT)" preferred

Candidate must be open to domestic travel to do held research

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills particularly in dealing with various stakeholders from both international donors and public institutions

excellent in [nqlish(spoken and written) and Nepali

Computer proficiency in using office software such as MS word, Excel, powerpoint and other software for data processing
