Vacancy Announcement at Population Services International

Population Services International (PSI) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health of people in the developing world by focusing on serious challenges like a lack of family planning, HIV/AIDS, barriers to maternal health, and the greatest threats to children under five, including malaria, diarrhea, pneumonia and malnutrition. PSI/Nepal began operations in early 2002 to work in the areas of HIV/AIDS prevention, child survival and family planning in support of Government of Nepal's National Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS Prevention Strategies. Its current portfolio includes malaria, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, family planning and safe water projects.

PSI/Nepal is seeking qualified, self motivated and dynamic candidate for the position of Procurement and Supply Chain Manager.

The Procurement and Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for planning, executing and finalizing all the local and international procurement; overseeing the supply of products, equipments and services for PSI/Nepal and maintaining positive relationships with vendors.

Qualification:

Masters degree in Business Administration or a related degree or Bachelors degree with equivalent experience

Minimum 5 years experience in procurement and supply chain management with 3 years managerial experience

Proven track record of experience in the area of international pharmaceuticals procurement

Knowledge of Global Fund procurement requirements

Experience of working in development sector

Demonstrated managerial and analytical skills

Ability to work cooperatively with partners, vendors and other agencies

Proficiency in computer including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Effective spoken and written communication skills in both English and Nepali
