CARE Nepal is an international humanitarian organization working in Nepal for the past 34 years. It currently works in 47 districts through its 15 projects on issues related to improving the lives of the poor and vulnerable and socially excluded populations. Our programs focus on women empowerment, natural resource environment and livelihood. CARE Nepal hereby invites application from the CO I C interested candidates for the following position.
Administrative Manager: (1); Grade 4 (b) based in Central Office, Kathmandu.
Key responsibilities: The Administrative Manager will be responsible overall administrative functions of CARE Nepal including safety and security systems of CARE Nepal staff and properties in different locations and will apply adequate tools and techniques to cope with the situation. S/he will also update, review, and develop operational guidelines and tools necessary to cope with operating environment, establishment of effective communication systems as well as representation and networking both inside and outside of CARE Nepal. S/he will also be responsible to ensure that all operational issues are dealt with at appropnate manner. Srtie will be responsible for efficient and effective management of logistics, inventory, transportation and other support system for the country office. The Administrative Manager is also designated as Procurement Manager and works under ERP environment within the given threshold. Qualifications: Master degree in management/supply chain management or any other relevant subject with five years of work experiences in a similar position at the reputed organization and should be familiar with current development practices, policies and organizations in Nepal. Competencies: Knowledge and experience in administrative management; Experience in supply chain management and ERP; Practical expenence in security management and conflict sensitive development; Excellent communication and negotiation skills; Awareness of issues related to on-going political and socio economic context of Nepal; Practical expenence in facilitation and interaction with government counterpart/stakeholders at different levels; Excellent written and spoken English; Must be willing to spend excessive lengths of time in the field; Tactfulness and aware about strategic aspect of dealing with various stakeholders. The position is initial ly for one year with the possibility of extension.
