For its upcoming School of Hospitality Management, White House GSM is looking for a dynamic and experienced Program Coordinator to oversee the execution of academic courses and practical training. The successful candidate must be capable of preparing students for successful careers in global hospitality workplaces, and will also take a lead role in managing the training restaurant and kitchen. Administrative and managerial skills are necessary, with demonstrative skills in critical thinking, writing, faculty coordination, and hospitality operations.
Administrative-Managerial Functions:
1. Assist and report to the International Program Director / Head of Studies.
2. Ensure the smooth flow and implementation of the Higher Diploma in Hospitality Management Program.
3. Initiate and facilitate activities that optimize efficiency in classroom and practicum sessions.
4. Coordinate scheduling of classes, enrollment/registration, and faculty work schedules and day to day operation.
5. Teach some courses in the Higher Diploma in Hospitality Management Program.
6. Coordinate academic and administrative meetings pertaining to Hospitality Management
7. Participate in professional development to enhance teaching and managerial skills.
8. Coordinate with the Head of Restaurant to ensure smooth involvement of students in restaurant and kitchen operations.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
1. Education: minimum Bachelor degree in Hospitality Management, or related academic achievement, Master preferred.
2. College-level teaching experience with record of excellence.
3. Industry-related experience required: at least 3 years of practical experience in restaurant and kitchen operations, experience in hotel operations also useful.
4. Knowhow: proven knowledge of practices and prevalent issues in the
hospitality industry.
