Career at Save the Children


Save the Children is an International non-profit organization working in Nepal and Bhutan to create positive and lasting change for Children. It advocates for the rights of the children and expresses zero tolerance to any kind of child abuse. Save the Children expeas that anyone associated with it abides the child rights policy. Save the Children invites applications for the following position.
Communication Coordinator

The position holder will be responsible for developing and implementing the communications and media strategy and plans the country program including leading country campaigns. As a part of media and communication department, the post shares the responsibility of building the profile of Save the Children in external settings, including engagement with the media.The position will be based in Kathmandu.

Term: One year (with possibility for extension)

Required Qualification: At least Bachelors degree and more than 5 years of work experience in the field of media and communications.

Required Knowledge and Skills: S/he should have good experience of working with media and communication related activities. Experience of working with media houses will be an added advantage. S/he should have good communication skills and proficiency in English and Nepali language. S/he should possess good interpersonal skills and team skills. Should possess very good computer skills and working knowledge in web, and media software will be given preference.

Jr. Data Management Officer

The position holder will be responsible for data verification of children enrolled in sponsorship; input and update the data of children in sponsorship database (ASISt) maintaining the high quality standard with accuracy;and produce data for various reports.The position will be based in Kathmandu.

Term: One year (with possibility for extension)

Required Qualification: At least Intermediate degree and more than 2 years of work experience in the field of network based data management.

Required Knowledge and Skills: S/he should have good skills in data management using MS Access and advanced MS Excel. S/he should have knowledge on network environment. S/he should possess good interpersonal skills and have a good command of the English language. S/he should be detail orientated and accurate and should be able to work with demanding work deadlines.

Jr. Sponsorship Officer

The position holder will be responsible to support to foster the relationship between sponsors and children through quality correspondence and related to sponsorship administrative work. S/he will also be responsible to track the correspondence records in the sponsorship database. The position will be based in Kathmandu.

Term: One year (with possibility for extension)

Required Qualification: At least Intermediate degree and more than 2 years of work experience in the related field.

Required Knowledge and Skills: S/he should have good skills in English and Nepali language and translation. S/he should have good skills in documentation. S/he should possess good computer skills. S/he should be detail orientated and accurate and should be able to work with demanding work deadlines.
