Career as Principal (Chief Academic Affairs), NAMI

The Naaya Aayam Multi-Disciplinary Institute (NAMI), a premium educational institute in Nepal, invites applications for the full-time position of Principal, Chief of Academic Affaire. NAMI is a partner of University of Northampton, UK, the No. 1 University for employability 2012 in England. The two institutions arc jointly committed to cooperative development of academic program, exchange of teaching and research personnel and exchange of students among others.

The principal is the chief of academic affairs and is expected to lead and develop the academic team that keeps the Institute at the forefront of educational quality, innovation and achievement to carve a niche for NAMI as a center of excellence. Under the direction of the Chair, Board and MD of NAMI the Principal will provide strategic direction to the educational character, policies and priorities in keeping with the vision and goal of NAMI and UoN.

Required competencies: record of successful visionary and collaborative leadership and ability to work under pressure; demonstrated commitment to advance the quality of undergraduate/graduate teaching, research, and technology' transfer; strong management, communication skills; commitment and ability to work with faculty, staff and students; understanding and appreciation of the diverse constituencies of a major educational institutions; proven ability to build interdisciplinary coalitions and engage diverse constituencies to advance NAMI; a commitment to the diversity of students, faculty and staff, and to advancing an inclusive diverse climate that stimulates excellence.

Preference will be given to candidates with Ph. D. and/or M Phil in environment management or IT and also interdisciplinary knowledge plus as well as an experience of 8 to 10 years with minimum of 5 years in similar job. A 6 digit salary will be offered.
