PROGRAM MANAGER / SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER (HEALTH)
Duty Station: Program Manager/Senior Program Manager (Health) will be located in the AusAID office in Nepal, at the Australian Embassy.
Key Responsibilities:
AusAID's Health Program Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of AusAID's health program in Nepal, provide high level advice and prepare key submissions and briefings. This position will be expected to attend and report on key sector donor meetings, they must also understand and be able to work effectively through Government systems. The Health Program Manager will manage AusAID's Health portfolio and may also have some responsibility for nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene activities.
Key Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in international development, developing and managing health programs. For the Senior Program Manager, 7 years relevant experience working at a senior level on health issues is required.
• Demonstrated understanding of government systems and the development sector in Nepal and ability to apply this in program management. Highly developed analytical and research skills and effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills in English are required.
• A strong understanding of the aid effectiveness agenda and international health policy issues is desirable.
The most suitable candidate will be offered either Program Manager (Health) or Senior Program Manager (Health) position based on their skills, knowledge and experience.
