Clean Energy Nepal (CEN) is an independent and non profit organization established in 2000. CEN conducts research based education and advocacy campaigns, public policy recommendations and pilot implementation programs on issues related to sustainable energy use and environmental conservation.
Project Coordinator (PC) - 1 position, Kathmandu based with frequent travel to districts
We are seeking highly motivated and skilled person to join CEN and support implementing the project" Empowering Local Engagement on Adaptation and Resilience Finance: Making Finance Transparent, Accessible and Accountable,The Adaptation Finance Accountability Initiative (AFAI)." This project funded by Rockefeller Foundation and will be implemented in Nepal, the Philippines, Uganda, and Zambia by collation of OXFAM, ODI and WRI. Clean Energy Nepal is the country partner organisation of the project in Nepal.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plan, execute, implement and monitor the project activities & its progress as per the project proposal in coordination with and technical guidance from Program Director.
• Manage and mobilize human, financial and material resources of the project for planning, implementation and evaluation of the project for maximum results in line with the project document.
• Prepare project progress and financial reports/case studies and conduct policy research on project related information.
• Liaise with key governmental and non-governmental stakeholders
Minimum qualification and experience
• Master degree in Environmental Economics, Development Economics, Environment Science, Natural Resource Management or any other related disciplines
• At least 3 years of experience with 1 year specific on climate change, preferably focusing on policy advocacy and developing promotional activities
• Experience on coordinating/organizing advocacy, campaign and other promotional activities with multiple actors
• Good networking, training, facilitating and presentation skills
• Social skills necessary to build effective working relationships with a broad range of people
• Strong interpersonal communication and writing skill both Nepali and English language
