CIMMYT International, South Asia Regional Office (SARO) in Kathmandu invites applications from Nepali citizen for the following positions:
1. POSITION : ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
The main objective of this position is to assist Administration and Finance Manager (AFM) in establishing administrative and financial procedures, policies and systems of CIMMYT SARO to assure effective and efficient functioning of the office, and expedite all financial transactions efficiently & in a timely manner. He or She will assist to AFM also on admin and HR related issues.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• 3 years progressive experience in a corporate or not-for-profit Organization.
• High level of responsibility and discretion.
• Minimum of 3 years' progressive experience in book keeping and accounting.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written / oral communication skills with proficiency level in English.
• Depth knowledge on VAT and Taxes
• Proficiency in MS Office and advanced internet skills.
• Worked on computerized accounting system.
2. POSITION : DRIVER
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• 5 years progressive experience in a NGO/INGO.
• Excellent written / oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in English.
• High level of cultural sensitivity to understand the needs of all staff.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Service Orientation.
Both the positions shall be on an initial, fixed-term contract, for one year, after which further employment shall subject to performance and the continued availability of funds. CIMMYT offers an attractive remuneration package, with a range of benefits, including health insurance.
