Sunaulo Parivar Nepal, a marketing focused, results oriented social enterprise. We develop efficient, effective and sustainable reproductive health programmes with the technical assistance of our INGO partner, Marie Stopes International and in partnership with our local corporate partner Marie Stopes Services Pvt Ltd.
The Director of Operations and Projects is a member of the Senior Management Team and is responsible for managing the overall operational systems and service delivery across SPN and Marie Stopes Services Pvt Ltd. S/he is expected to bring a modern, business-like approach to the leadership of the operational management function and drive a change management process across the organization. S/he will lead the development and implementation of a new operations strategy that will support the attainment of SPN and MSS's organisational goals and objectives and bring the organization in line with the global systems of operations and project management established by its international partner, Marie Stopes International. To achieve this, SPN and MSS require an innovative, results-oriented individual who can create and deliver a vision, and wants the challenge of developing and managing organisational change.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Expertise
• Be educated to degree level in a business-related subject and hold a recognised professional qualification in financial management.
• Fluent English both oral and written.
Minimum Experience
• Successfully held a senior management position in operations for at least 10 years, in a customer orientated, dynamic organisation
• At least 5 years' experience of commercial sector senior management role in companies with 150+ employees and multiple service delivery points spread across a wide geographical area
• Successfully held a senior management position within an NGO that has a social business approach and donor funded projects with annual budgets of $US 2 million +
• Direct management of annual operational budgets of US$5 million +
• Management of large teams
• Experience of management accounting and project accounting
• Building effective partnerships across government, corporate and NGO sectors
• Successfully led operational turnarounds/organisational change processes leading to measurable increase in output and sustainability in commercial and NGO sector
• Experience of Reproductive Health Programming with demonstrated professional commitment to safe abortion
• Experience of managing effective marketing and promotional strategies using multi-media
Skills and Abilities
• Able to develop and articulate a clear strategic vision for operational change
• Negotiation, influencing and conflict management skills
• IT literate
• Able to manage and motivate teams to achieve targets and to achieve organisational change
• Proven ability to 'sell' ideas, concepts
