The Asia Foundation invites applications for a mid- to senior level program officer position responsible for its governance and political processes programs. The position requires an ability to independently lead program development, management, budgeting, and reporting functions in applicable program areas. The position may be upgraded to Senior Program Officer based on qualifications of the applicant. Nepali citizens who meet the following requirements are requested to apply:
• Three or more years of experience working on issues related to governance, rule of law, political processes and public security;
• Strong understanding of the capacity and culture of governance institutions in Nepal including political parties, government agencies, and civil society organizations;
• Strong communication skills and proven capacity to produce high-quality, analytical writings in areas related to governance and political processes;
• Proven supervisory and project management skills;
• Masters or higher degree in relevant field from reputed universities; applicants with Ph.D. degrees will be given preference.
