AAIN seeks competent, committed and result-oriented WOMEN candidates for the position of Project Coordinator - Strengthening Women's Collectives in Nepal
Strengthening Women's Collectives Project is a multi country project, funded by European Commission, aimed to support poor and marginalized women's social and economic empowerment and right to decent work in Nepal, India and Bangaladesh. The specific objectives of the project is to contribute to an increase in poor and marginalized women's equal access to and control over economic resources and public services by strengthening women's only cooperatives (collectives). AAIN will implement the project in 10 VDCs in Terathum District through 2 local partners.
The Project Coordinator will lead and manage the project and staff for successful implementation of the project in coordination with partners, AAIN teams, and stakeholders at local and national level.
Key responsibilities:
> Lead and ensure effective implementation of the project and monitor its implementation through a good coordination with partners, relevant AAIN teams, departments and stakeholders at local and national level
> Lead the annual, bi-annual and quarterly programme and financial planning in coordination with project partners
> Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual monitoring and evaluation report as per the format specified in the project document
> Develop case studies, resource materials, learning materials for policy advocacy, lobby and campaigns
> Provide thematic inputs to the partners regarding the project
> Responsible for project staff management and their capacity building
Key competencies required:
Master’s degree in Social Science or related field
Minimum of three years professional experience in designing, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation and overall management of projects s Knowledge about participatory and project management tools
Excellent skills in written and spoken English and Nepali including the ability and experience to compose, edit, analyse and report using complex information s Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills S Good computer skills including navigating email, internet and MS WORD and PowerPoint
This position is based in Biratnagar, with national and international travel as required.
