Population Services International (PSD is a global non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health of people in the developing world by focusing on serious challenges like a lack of family planning, HIV/AIDS, barriers to maternal health, and the greatest threats to children under five, including malaria, diarrhea, pneumonia and malnutrition. PSI/Nepal began operations in early 2002 to work in the areas of HIV/AIDS prevention, child survival and family planning in support of Government of Nepal's National Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS Prevention Strategies. Its current portfolio includes malaria, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, family planning and safe water projects.
PSI/Nepal is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Gender and Social Inclusion (GESI) Advisor. The GESI Advisor is responsible for developing, planning and implementing GESI policies, strategies and activities; providing technical guidance from the GESI perspectives within the organisation and to partner organisations; managing the GESI capacity development activities and supporting in monitoring and evaluation from the GESI perspective.
Qualification:
• Master's degree in Gender Studies or Women Studies or Social Science or a related degree
• Minimum five years of experience in gender and social inclusion
• Experiences in applying gender analysis and in-depth knowledge of gender and social inclusion issues in health sector
• Experience of working with government, donors and l/NGOs
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships
• Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
• Effective spoken and written communication skills in both English and Nepali
