HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal is a Swiss non-governmental organization actively contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of poor and disadvantaged people in Nepal. HELVETAS has been working in Nepal for more than 50 years. Currently, it runs more than fifteen projects in five working areas: Education and Skills Development, Environment and Climate, Governance and Peace, Rural Economy and Water and Infrastructure.

Employment Fund is a national level project which support skills trainings of poor and socially discriminated out of school youths in order to link them to gainful employment. Employment Fund is supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), UKAid and the World Bank.

The Employment Fund Secretariat (EFS) / HELVETAS Nepal invite applications from Nepali citizens for the following position:

Position : Receptionist cum Secretary (Female only)

Duty Station : Jawalakhel. Lalitpur

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Organize incoming and outgoing telephone calls

• Manage the incoming and outgoing letters, documents, newspapers

• Support visitors by providing required information and guiding them properly

• Arrange meetings and appointments by maintaining the log

• Maintain the log of staff official movements

• Maintain the leave record of staff members

• Take meeting minutes during the staff meeting

• Type letters and documents in English and Nepali as per need

• Properly operate the fax, scanner and photocopy

• Maintain record of office stationeries and consumables as per need

Competencies:

• At least 2 years of working experience in managing the front desk (not applicable for people with disabilities)

• Excellent communication skill - written and spoken in Nepali and English is essential

• Adequate skills in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access. Good Nepali typing skills

• Result oriented personality/ maintaining deadlines

• Excellent inter-personal, inter-cultural competencies and team player

Minimum Qualification:

• Intermediate level / Bachelor degree is an advantage: having secretarial courses is preferred
Duration : Till 31 December 2013 (with possibility of extension)
