Career at Population Services International (PSI)


Population Services International (PSI) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health of people in the developing world by focusing on serious challenges like a lack of family planning, HIV/AIDS, barriers to maternal health, and the greatest threats to children under five, including malaria, diarrhea, pneumonia and malnutrition. PSI/Nepal began operations in early 2002 to work in the areas of HIV/AIDS prevention, child survival and family planning in support of Government of Nepal's National Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS Prevention Strategies. Its current portfolio includes malaria, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, family planning and safe water projects.

PSI/Nepal is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

1. Internal Audit Officer

The Internal Audit Officer will be responsible for conducting internal audit of PSI/Nepal and its partners ensuring the compliance with internal and external policies, donor regulations and local laws, management of risks and production of timely audit reports.

Qualification:

Professional qualification as CA Finalist. Chartered Accountant / ACCA will be preferred.

Minimum 3 years of auditing experience

Ability to establish and/or apply local laws, regulations and compliance requirements

Demonstrated analytical and interpersonal skills

2. Payroll & HR Officer

The Payroll & HR Officer will be responsible for processing salaries, maintaining records, ensuring compliance with local requirements on salary and benefits and supporting the HR department in carrying out HR operations.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related degree

Minimum 3 years of similar experience

Knowledge of HR practices and local labor laws regarding salary, benefits and tax

Attention to detail with analytical skills and customer service focus

Sound knowledge of computerized payroll package would be advantageous

For both positions, candidates should have the ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner, excellent computer skills and effective spoken and written communication skills in both English and Nepali.
