The Inclusive Development of the Economy (INCLUDE) programme invites applications from suitable and qualified professionals INCLUDE is a joint Nepali German programme under the guidance of the Nepal Ministry of Industry (Mol) and with Technical Assistance by the Deutsche Gesellschaft ftlr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, acting on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The programme works to improve the framework conditions for socially inclusive economic growth in selected districts in the mid and far west regions of Nepal. To enhance the competitiveness of and to foster social inclusion within the private sector, the programme works on building entrepreneurship, developing selected value chains and supporting public-private dialogue at the district and central level taking into account the special needs of disadvantaged groups and women. INCLUDE has partnered with respective chamber of industries, cooperatives and related organisations to attain economic growth
Position: Administrative Officer cum Assistant to the Regional Manager (Nepalgunj based position)
RESPONSIBILITIES
■ Officer in-charge for administrative service of the Regional Office as follows;
• Ensure the efficiency of office services;
• Maintain filing system;
• Organise logistics for the Regional Office related affairs;
• Organise meetings and workshops as per requirement and take minute;
• Execute local procurement as assigned by the Regional Manager;
• Assist in managing inventories and keep record up-to-date;
• Maintain contact details of the individuals, partner organizations and stakeholders;
• Ensure the flow of information within the offices;
• Draft letters, messages for the delegations, offices and partners;
• Translation of all kind of document from Nepali to English and vice versa;
• Keep record for regional staff related issues like absences, field trips;
• Assistant to the Regional Manager in executing assignments and others as follows;
• Maintain overall office calendar and be in-charge for Regional Manager's appointments;
• Draft, type and dispatch all the correspondence for the Regional Manager.
• Arrange team meeting and prepare minutes and monitor agreed tasks and deadlines.
• Maintain records of progress status of the activities made from regional office and update regularly to the Regional Manager;
• Liaise with the Kathmandu office, relevant individuals, partners' organizations and stakeholders as and when required on behalf of the Regional Manager;
Required qualification and experience:
• Bachelor's degree with three to five years’ experience in administration;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
• Able and willing to make field visits;
• Very good communication of both written and spoken English and Nepali;
• Able to type both English and Nepali;
• Sound computer skills in MS Office.
• Experience in Secretarial Services will be an added advantage
The salary and social benefits will correspond to the rule applicable to GIZ national personnel in Nepal Especially women and candidates from underprivileged castes and ethnic groups are encouraged to apply.
Duty station for above position is Nepalgunj with travel to other districts of the mid and far-west development regions. Preferences will be given to candidates originating from the same or adjacent districts.
