The United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) forms the overall framework for the UNCT's work between the period 2013 and 2017. This document comprises three main parts. The first part describes the key development challenges facing Nepal, taking particular account of its post-conflict, transitional context. The second part describes the ten outcomes that the UNDAF is structured around and the final part consists of the Result Matrix and M&E framework for all outcomes.
The United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in Nepal requests proposalsfrom qualified individuals for the Implementation of UNCT Performance Indicators for Gender Equality. The purpose of this scorecard exercise is to assist the UNCT in identifying areas in which they are meeting or not meeting minimum standards, to stimulate constructive dialogue within the UNCT about the current status of support for gender equality and women's empowerment and how it can be improved, to identify areas where technical assistance can support the achievement of minimum standards and to support the sharing of good practice in gender mainstreaming and the promotion of gender equality.
The consultancy will be for 15 working days spread over a period of 5 weeks between 22 April and 27 May 2013.
1. The interested candidates must have advanced university degree in development related discipline, economic, public policy, law or other social science field.
2. At-least 10 years of experience of work on gender mainstreaming and in-depth knowledge of the UN programme in-country.
3. Working knowledge on result based management and ability to complete the scorecard, narrative report and follow-up matrix in English.
4. Interested individuals must submit the technical (with timeline) as well as financial proposal which shall specify a total sum amount for the assignment.
5. The proposals will be evaluated based on the cumulative analysis and the successful individual's proposal must be responsive/compliant/acceptable and having received the highest score out of a pre-determined set of weighted technical and financial criteria.
6. The individual must be able to complete the assignment in 15 working days (22 April-27 May 2013).
7. The assignment is schedule to start on 22 April 2013.
8. Applications without financial proposal will not be considered.
