ACR Nepal works with government schools in Kathmandu to ensure that children have safe and reliable access to drinking water and are educated on proper hygiene practices. Hygiene Promoter - Kathmandu Based
1. Job Description
• Conduct Health & Hygiene Trainings for children at Govt, schools
• Assist in formation of Student Hygiene Club
• Teach students about Menstrual Hygiene Management
• Meet and communicate with school teaching and non-teaching staff
• Report to Country Director about activities and record in database
• Communicate with senior ACR staff if necessary
• Monitor and survey sites after trainings
2. Preferred Skills
• Friendly and outgoing with children
• Good knowledge of Health & Hygiene topics
• Energetic and enthusiastic
• Passionate about health education
• Commanding voice and comfortable in classroom setting
• Assessment, analytical, and planning skills
• Strong communication in English and Nepali language
• Excellent oral and written reporting skills
• Knowledge and understand of computer applications
3. Experience and Qualifications
• Minimum +2 or Intermediate completed
• Bachelor level preferred in public health, health education, community development or mobilization, environment
• Proven experience related to hygiene awareness
• Experience with teaching children
