Equal Access produces some of the most popular radio and new media programming in Nepal, addressing issues as diverse as youth life skills, health, governance, conflict transformation, gender, and education. Equal Access is seeking applications fom dynamic, creative, and experienced candidates for the following positions based in Kathmandu
Position : Business Development and Program Manager (BDP)
Competencies: Must have a master's degree in the relevant field or bachelor's degree with at least 4 or 5 years of experience in related discipline, excellent communication and negotiation skills, presentation skills, planning and budgeting skills. Good understanding of issues related to social development, Media development, ICT promotion, in particular to social inclusion and gender, health, democracy and governance, conflict management and reconciliation and other cross cutting issues like youth, education, empowerment etc; Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team with various backgrounds; Excellent ability in conceiving project ideas and proposal writing and utilization of opportunities through web and various online applications; Proficiency in English in the area of writing and documenting skills is preferred.
Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Associate
Competencies: Must be 10+2 graduate or preferably bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Development Studies, Rural Development, Information Technology, and Computer Science, with some exposure or experience in research work; excellent speaking and writing skills; Ability to work according to planned budgets, to redesign projects and budgets will be essential; Good understanding of issues related to social development and carry our outreach activities.
Position: Radio Program Producers (Nepali (1 position), Doteli (2 positions) and Awadhi (2 positions)
Competencies: Must have the knowledge and experience of at least two years of working in the radio program production and knowledge of all other technical aspects of radio programming and at least a bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject or an intermediate (higher secondary) degree with at least three years work in this field. Each applicant must have extremely good command over the language (Nepali/Doteli/Awadhi) he/she will produce radio program (either Nepali, Doteli or Awadhi) in writing, presenting and speaking. Good reporting and documentation skills and good computer skills are required. Must have good understanding of issues related to development, gender and health. Strong willingness to explore and understand contextual issues with good interpersonal skills. Highly motivated towards empowering community to create positive change and good command over the operation of radio programming software such as adobe, cool edit etc.
Position: ICT/Broadcast Management Associate
Competencies: Must have Intermediate (higher secondary) or 10+2 with technical subjects with at least two years work experience assuring the skill in similar position. Ability to handle in mixing and post production of radio programs; Creation and maintenance of various databases in relation to broadcast management and, monitoring and mapping.
Position: Content Intern
Competencies: Must have at least an intermediate degree or bachelor’s degree in any field; Good reporting and documentation skills; Good understanding of development context is preferred.
