Helen Keller International (HKI)/Nepal, nonprofit organization (INGO) seeks application from energetic, self motivated Nepalese citizen for the position of Research Manager
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Master's degree in Public Health, International Development or other relevant discipline preferred. Bachelor's degree in public health, international development of other relevant discipline with substantial work experience will also be considered
Demonstrated technical depth in at least one of the following areas of public health research, family planning; maternal, child and newborn health; nutrition
Knowledge of research methods and prior experience in supervising survey teams preferred
Prior experience training interviewers
Excellent communications, time management and interpersonal skills.
Strong written and spoken English and Nepali required.
Ability to work in difficult conditions and meet urgent deadlines.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Liaise and work closely with the institution assigned for data collection
Guide the planning and roll out of the data collection process
Organize and facilitate the training of the data collection team
Work closely with the Tufts team and their local partners during data collection, management, and data analysis
Provide monthly status reports on field operations
Travel to designated study district, as required
