FHI 360, on international PVO, is seeking a highly qualified and dynamic Nepali citizen for the following position ond to join its team working on the Girls Education Challenge (GEC) project:
Consultant-1 position (Level of Effort: 30 days per year)
The consultant will be working as a team with the GEC Country Finance Monitor to monitor, assess and facilitate reporting of progress of GEC projects as well os to act os a conduit to provide support to GEC recipients. On-site verification of work, review of reports, technical documents and ensuring their timely submission, monitoring of risk, fulfillment of contract obligations by the recipients are critical functions of the position. The consultant needs to respond to requests for information and provide feedback on technical issues and facilitate peer to peer learning, access to project sites.
Qualifications:
The candidate must have an advonced degree in international development or education with at least 7 years' experience of working in the education sector. Experience of working on education programs which have supported/targeted girls will be an asset. The candidate must have experience and in depth knowledge of development partners (especially in education sector), broader education system of the country ond hove on understanding of interventions to promote gender equality. Good monitoring ond evaluation experience including knowledge of DFID log frames, knowledge and experience of primary data collection, school improvement approaches, risk management and human resource management is desirable. Should be fluent in English (spoken and written).
