INSES are looking for qualified and skillful individuals for the following positions:

Position:- Documentation Officer-1

Location: - Golbazar, Siraha

Salary: - As per organizational Policy

Terms & Location: - Initially 5 month contract period with the possibility of extension, based in Siraha with frequent travel to fields.

Responsibilities of Documentation Officer

The documentation officer is responsible to develop project documents, data collection, compilation, verification, produces reliable and accurate data/information, reports and reporting. Document best practices, lesson learned and success story/case study. Facilitated and coaching to program staff for quality report preparation. The Documentation Officer reports to the organization focal person and manage program quality.

Required knowledge and skills:- Bachelor degree in any discipline with minimum one year of work experience. Proficient in computer MS, excel, power point. Responsibilities of MEAL officer

The MEAL officer is responsible to roll out and manage program quality monitoring and community feedback mechanism, provide technical support to assistant and programmatic team within an organization, organize regular monitoring field visit on organization's intervention sites and reports about the findings, maintaining database at different levels. The MEAL Officer reports to the organization focal person and manage program quality.

Required Qualification of MEAL officer: - Preferably Bachelor's Degree in social sciences or any equivalent discipline with at least 3 years of monitoring and evaluation or research experience with at least 2 years of practical experience. Monitoring and beneficiaries' feedback mechanisms.

Required knowledge and skills: - S/he should have experience in monitoring, evaluation and research works, be an expert in computer application databases, MS office and other analysis software such as SPSS, have the ability to write good reports, document key learning, facilitate using participatory approaches. S/he should have also coordination skill, good verbal and written communication skill both in English and Nepali language. Knowledge of local language, ability to work under pressure/stress and adjust to difficult living and working condition, will be added benefit to the position. S/he should be reliable, accountable, result oriented, should have the highest level of integrity and good team player who values diversity.

WAN seeks to one competent professional for the following position.

Position: Finance Assistant - One

Level: 2

Duration: 2 years with an initial probation period of six months

Duty station: Kathmandu, with frequent travel to WAN partners' offices and project sites

Reporting to Finance Officer-Partner Monitoring & Support (PM&S), the Finance Assistant is expected to:

Assist the Finance Officer in timely receipt of monthly financial reports, fund transfer requests from WAN partners and process routine partners' related financial work.

Accurately prepare and upload partners' monthly expense templates.

Support the Finance Officer in carrying out monitoring visits to partners' offices and project areas.

Maintain and file vouchers and financial documents in an organized manner.

Demonstrate and use skills in MS excel in entering, presenting, analyzing, and interpreting data for internal audience.

Write up short financial reports.

Preferred profile:

Intermediate level/ + 2 courses in a management discipline (Bachelor's degree preferred).

At least one year of prior experience in relevant accounting work and partner monitoring work.

Demonstrated ability to carry assigned tasks thoroughly, pleasantly, professionally and without close supervision.

Demonstrated ability to communication, orally and in writing, in English and Nepali languages.

Proficient in using word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.

Willing to learn new finance-related IT systems and procedures.

Able to commit to WaterAid's values and child protection policy.

PROGRAM MANAGER / SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER (HEALTH)

Duty Station: Program Manager/Senior Program Manager (Health) will be located in the AusAID office in Nepal, at the Australian Embassy.

Key Responsibilities:

AusAID's Health Program Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of AusAID's health program in Nepal, provide high level advice and prepare key submissions and briefings. This position will be expected to attend and report on key sector donor meetings, they must also understand and be able to work effectively through Government systems. The Health Program Manager will manage AusAID's Health portfolio and may also have some responsibility for nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene activities.

Key Qualifications:

Master's Degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in international development, developing and managing health programs. For the Senior Program Manager, 7 years relevant experience working at a senior level on health issues is required.

Demonstrated understanding of government systems and the development sector in Nepal and ability to apply this in program management. Highly developed analytical and research skills and effective communication and negotiation skills.

Excellent writing and presentation skills in English are required.

A strong understanding of the aid effectiveness agenda and international health policy issues is desirable.

The most suitable candidate will be offered either Program Manager (Health) or Senior Program Manager (Health) position based on their skills, knowledge and experience.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Ensure appropriate and efficient management of all administrative and financial accounting matters in ENPHOs' Regional Field Office in Birendrangar, Surkhet

Make sure ENPHO and its partners books and accounts are properly and effectively maintained

Maintain and follow all legal requirements of taxation rule and regulations for standardized accounts practice of Government of Nepal and ENPHO

Monitoring and evaluation of finances, administrative procedures and procurement for various activities of ENPHO Regional Field Office progammes and projects.

Plan and provide management support to monitor activities/ outputs/ impact and adapt the program as per need to ensure smooth implementation of project activities with community mobilization.

Produce monthly, quarterly and annual report

Conduct regular field visit and produce field visit report

Manage project team in line with organizational policy

Reporting to Programme Manager

Required Qualification and experience:

Master degree in any discipline with at least 2 years of experience or Bachelor degree in any discipline with at least 4 years of relevant experience

Knowledge on water sanitation health and hygiene will be added (extra).

At least two years of practical experience in NGO/INGO related to community development or WASH

Capacity to provide formal and informal training to stakeholders and community.

Good team player with good communication skills in written and spoken English and local languages.

Good skill on computer (Microsoft package)

Community Based Flood and Glacial Lake Outburst Risk Reduction Project" is a joint initiative between The Government of Nepal (GON) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The project will be implemented under National Execution/Implementation Modality (NEX/NIM) by Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) under Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (MoSTE) as the lead Implementing Agency. The major source of funding to this project comes from the Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF) managed by Global Environment Facility (GEF). The project contributes to NAPA Profile 3 'Community-Based Disaster Management for Facilitating Climate Adaptation' and Profile 4 'GLOF Monitoring and Disaster Risk Reduction'. The project was developed by UNDP with the technical assistance from ICIMOD following wider consultations at different levels. The project duration is for four years from 2013 to 2017. This project aims to help the GON to overcome some of the key barriers to manage the growing risks of Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOF) in the High Mountains and flooding in the Tarai and Churia Range of Southern Nepal through a strong emphasis on community engagement, empowerment and social inclusion. To implement this project, applications are invited from the interested and qualified citizens of Nepal for the following positions:

1) Post Title : Gender and Social Inclusion Specialist (Disaster focused) - NPPP 2 (GSIS) No. of position : One Duty Station : Kathmandu with frequent travel to the districts

Duration : One year (with possibility of extension)

Job responsibilities:

The GSIS will closely work with Senior Technical Advisor (STA) under the overall guidance of the National Project Manager (NPM). The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the STA in formulating strategies for the effective inclusion and participation of intended beneficiaries especially the poor, women, and socially excluded in project activities for achieving the desired outcomes and to provide technical advice, share innovative experiences, provide training and other inputs to the project team at the districts. GSIS is expected to devote 60% of his/her time to implement community based glacial risk management functions and 40% of his/her time to support and mainstream gender and social inclusion initiatives to implement community based flood management and to all partners.

Qualifications and experiences required :

Master's degree in social science with preferable experience in disaster management or related field. The incumbent should have at least 5 years of practical experience working in the disaster risk reduction or natural resource management sector. Preference will be given to candidates with working experience in disaster and/or environment and GSI related development works in Nepal. A GSIS must have knowledge of all major sectoral issues and possess analytical skills in planning and management of development programs. The candidate must be computer literate, trainer and facilitator. Proven abilities in English and Nepali speaking and writing are required. Preference will be given to candidates who have working experience with bi-lateral and/or multi-lateral development agencies as well as with the government line agencies.

2) Post Title : District Project Coordinator (Civil Engineer-Flood Management) - NPPP 1 (DPC) No. of position : One Duty Station : Project implementation districts (Udayapur, Siraha, Saptari and Mahottari)

Duration : One year (with possibility of extension)

Job responsibilities:

The DPC will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the National Project Manager and Senior Technical Advisor (STA) of component 2. The incumbent will be mainly responsible for overall supervision/execution/implementation/ monitoring of the district activities of Community based Flood Risk Management in the four working districts, supporting the NPM/STA in achieving the programme outputs as appropriate and ensuring the delivery of training and other inputs to the Flood Risk management Community, local/regional DWIDP staff and local/regional DSCWM staff and other concerned line agencies. The DPC will assist STA for technical quality control and advisory services of Flood component of the project.

Qualifications and experiences required :

Master's degree in Engineering on river or flood management, water resources management or related field. The candidate should have at least 5 years of working experience in river management/Flood Risk Management with successful implementation of flood risk reduction activities. Experience in upstream downstream linkages for flood risk reduction would be an added advantage. The candidate should have relevant experiences of working with government agencies and financial institutions. Working experience with bi-lateral and multi-lateral development agencies will be given priority. Experience on planning, monitoring and evaluation of community based projects with managerial skills will be an additional advantage. The candidate must be computer literate. Ability to speak and write in Nepali and English is essential.

3) Post Title : District Project Officers - SU 7 (DPO) No. of positions : Four Duty Station : Project implementation districts (Udayapur, Siraha, Saptari and Mahottari)

Duration : One year (with possibility of extension)

Job responsibilities:

The DPOs will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the District Project Coordinator (DPC). The incumbent will be mainly responsible for overall supervision/implementation/monitoring of the district field activities of Community based Flood Risk Management in their respective districts and supporting the DPC in effective implementation of activities in achieving the programme outputs as appropriate. The incumbent will be further responsible for facilitating and organizing training activities and delivery of other inputs to the Flood Risk management Community, local/regional DWIDP staff and other concerned line agencies in their working districts. The DPOs will assist DPC for technical quality control and advisory services of Flood component of the project.

Qualifications and experiences required :

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 5 years of working experience in river management/Flood Risk Management with successful implementation of flood risk reduction activities. Job responsibilities:

The messenger will work directly under the supervision of Admin & Finance Officer/Assistant (AFO/AFA), Project Assistant (PA) and overall guidance of NPM. The messenger will be responsible to convey the messages and timely deliver/receive the letters, document to the concerned authority/persons and keep records and report to PA/AFA/AFO.

Qualifications and experiences required :

At least secondary level education and must have the minimum of 3 years of working experience in l/NGOs and in the similar capacity. Preference will be given to the candidate having knowledge on working mechanism of government ministries and departments as well as with the working experiences in the development projects. The candidate must possess driving licence for motorbike. The incumbent must be able to read and write Nepali and English.
