Population Services International (PSI) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health of people in the developing world by focusing on serious challenges like a lack of family planning, HIV/AIDS, barriers to maternal health, and the greatest threats to children under five, including malaria, diarrhea, pneumonia and malnutrition. PSI/Nepal began operations in early 2002 to work in the areas of HIV/AIDS prevention, child survival and family planning in support of Government of Nepal's National Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS Prevention Strategies. Its current portfolio includes malaria, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, family planning and safe water projects.
PSI/Nepal is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:
1. Internal Audit Officer
The Internal Audit Officer will be responsible for conducting internal audit of PSI/Nepal and its partners ensuring the compliance with internal and external policies, donor regulations and local laws, management of risks and production of timely audit reports.
Qualification:
• Professional qualification as CA Finalist. Chartered Accountant / ACCA will be preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of auditing experience
• Ability to establish and/or apply local laws, regulations and compliance requirements
• Demonstrated analytical and interpersonal skills
2. Payroll & HR Officer
The Payroll & HR Officer will be responsible for processing salaries, maintaining records, ensuring compliance with local requirements on salary and benefits and supporting the HR department in carrying out HR operations.
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related degree
• Minimum 3 years of similar experience
• Knowledge of HR practices and local labor laws regarding salary, benefits and tax
• Attention to detail with analytical skills and customer service focus
• Sound knowledge of computerized payroll package would be advantageous
For both positions, candidates should have the ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner, excellent computer skills and effective spoken and written communication skills in both English and Nepali.
