1. LIVELIHOODS SPECIALIST, Hariyo Ban Program (Based in Kathmandu)
Major Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Party Hariyo Ban Program, the Livelihoods Specialist will be responsible for effective mainstreaming of livelihoods and governance into the three thematic components of Hariyo Ban Program.
Qualifications: A Master's Degree in Sociology, Rural Development, Community Forestry or other relevant Social Science field. At least 6 years of field experience in-country in forest or natural resource related community livelihoods is required. The individual should have sound knowledge of development issues and current affairs in Nepal, solid experience in livelihood promotion, and community forest governance issues in Nepal. Prior experience of working with field based, diverse ethnic groups, cultures, and linguistic groups of mountain and Terai region of country is desirable.
