The Esther Benjamins Trust, a UK based charity, wishes to appoint an Executive Assistant for its branch office in Nepal, known as EBT-N, which works with Nepali partner organisations to support the implementation of projects for children and young people in Nepal. EBT-N has supported the rcscuc, rehabilitation, education, community support and long-term carc of displaced and marginalised Nepali children. We help to prevent trafficking of children from vulnerable rural communities across the country. EBT-N is seeking a candidate who has the passion and skills to contribute positively to the dynamic work of the organisation and play a key and flexible role in a small team.
Position: Executive Assistant (based in Godawari, Lalitpur)
Key Responsibilities: PA and Administration
• Organise meetings, prepare and distribute papers and presentations beforehand, take minutes, etc.
• Arrange travel plans for the CD and others as required, occasionally travelling to provide assistance.
• Manage incoming telephone and email communication and deal with it appropriately.
• Ensure that all documentation and data files arc stored efficiently in paper and electronic filing systems.
• Coordinate with EBT team members and partner organisations and update contacts.
• Liaise with partner organisations on behalf of the CD or in order to facilitate fundraising and communications.
Fundraising and Communications
• Support and contribute to the overall development and implementation of fundraising and communication strategy
• Support EBT UK by providing information, statistics, articles for publications & proposal writing.
• Keep in regular communication with partner organisations to ensure a good knowledge of project implementation.
• Prepare regular reports for EBT on sponsored children, complete with photographs.
• Arrange weekly phone calls with EBT UK for activity updates and assist to prepare periodic reports. Core Competencies/Qualifications required:
• Should be confident in dealing with high-level individuals and proactively managing all aspects of the CD's schedule.
• Ability to manage and prioritize internal/external demands on CD's time.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with excellent command of both Nepali and English, oral and written.
• High proficiency with commonly used computer software and applications.
• At least 3 years' experience in a similar role with Graduate degree in development studies, social science, public or business administration. Master degree is preferred in the subjects above.
• Ability to ride motorcycle with valid driving license.
