The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN WOMEN) is seeking applications from qualified Nepali nationals for the following positions:
1. Gender and Economic Empowerment Coordination Officer: The Gender and Economic Empowerment Coordination Officer will provide technical support to MOLE for the implementation and monitoring of activities of the project "Economic Empowerment of Women through Effective Policy Response Programme with Focus on Foreign Labour Migration" Based at MOLE, under the guidance of the UN Women Deputy Representative and the direct supervision of the Economic Empowerment Programme Specialist at UN Women and the Joint Secretary of the Foreign Employment Section at MOLE, the Coordinator will work closely with the foreign employment section within MOLE, the Foreign Employment Promotion Board, including the district based agencies.

2. National Consultant The consultant will support the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare with the drafting of a National Women's Empowerment and Gender Equality policy The Ministry of Women Children and Social Welfare [MWCSW] in close collaboration with the National Planning Commission (NPC) will lead and oversee development and implementation of the policy. Implementation will be determined by the level of Government ownership. An inter-agency task force led and coordinated by MWCSW and NPC is to be set up. To facilitate the process of developing the National Gender Equality Policy, UN Women will support the MWCSW, Government of Nepal with technical expertise through a consultant who will assist in the development of a quality National Gender Equality Policy.
