The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN WOMEN) is seeking applications from qualified Nepali nationals for the following positions:
1. United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) Outcome 8 & 9 Coordinator (SB-5 - Stationed in Kathmandu): The Outcome Coordinator will be one of seven outcome coordinators that will support the implementation of the UNDAF throughout its cycle. He/She will work across agencies to support coherent and complementary implementation of outcome-related activities and to ensure consistent and well-documented reporting on the results achieved under each outcome.
2. Peace and Security Coordination Officer (SB-4 - Stationed in Kathmandu): The Peace and Security Coordination Officer will assist to provide technical support to the MoPR, Nepal Peace Trust Fund (NPTF) and other select ministries and government bodies, including district based actor in integrating UNSCRs 1325 and 1820 into the planning, design, implementation and monitoring of their programmes.
3. Project Officer (2 positions: SB-4 - Stationed in Kathmandu and Dadeldhura): The Project Officers will be responsible in execution and implementation of the activities of the Ensuring Participatory and Secure Transition (EPST) project at central and far west regions. He/She will be responsible for effective management of the project's budget focusing on quality control from project's inception to project completion.
4. Drivers (2 positions of SB-1 - Stationed in Dadeldhura): The Driver will be responsible for providing reliable and safe driving services to UN Women staff and visitors ensuring highest standards of discretion and integrity, sense of responsibility, excellent knowledge of protocol and security issues.
5. Messenger (SB-1- Stationed in Dadeldhura): The Messenger will be responsible for providing reliable messenger services to the regional office based at Dadeldhura.
6. National Consultant (SSA - Stationed in Kathmandu): The consultant will support the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare with the drafting of a National Women's Empowerment and Gender Equality policy.
The initial duration of the Service Contract positions mentioned above from S.N. 1-5 is initially for one year and for S.N. 6 is 60 days spread over a period of 90 days.
